L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur

I have quite an uneven skin texture, so any product with the words "smooth" or "blur" present in it, I have to give it a try. Hence why I picked up the L'areal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur Finishing Cream.

I do believe this is mostly aimed at individuals with more mature skin, however, I wanted a product which would even out my skin texture and help minimise the appearance of my pores.

When I apply this to bare skin, it instantly makes my skin feel velvety soft and smooth. It does seem to blur my skin a little bit, I do notice that my pores do seem to be more "blurred" out. However, it didn't seem to blur things out as much as i was hoping it would!

Overall, I think if using as a primer, it is quite good. It gives you a velvety soft finish to the skin, which makes foundation application really smooth and look really nice. However, for blurring the skin, I was a little disappointed as I was expecting it to blur my skin much more than it did.

Glossybox: February 2016

As it was Valentine's Day this month, this month's Glossybox was "Beauty Soulmates", products you just need to have (And you can have more than one!)

Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner - full size £10.64
Hair masks are definitely one of my beauty soulmates! I naturally have quite wavy, frizzy hair which is easily prone to breakage, so I like to use a hair mask once a week to keep my hair in the best possible condition. I've not tried this specific hair mask as of yet, but I love Naobay products and because this product is filled with natural and organic ingredients, I can only believe that this is going to do wonders for my hair.

Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor - full size £6.99
It was really nice to receive this product as it is quite expensive to purchase in the shops. This razor already comes with a gentle, creamy soap which lathers and moisturises the skin whilst shaving. The four blades give a really close shave and leave the legs feeling super soft.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers - full size £8
Tweezers are also a must-have beauty product to help shape the brows. These look really cute in your makeup bag due to the lovely floral pattern. They are quite sharp and pointed at one end, which means you can pluck out even the tiniest of stray hairs.

Nicka K New York 24H Waterproof Eyeliner - full size 3.99
I'm not really a pencil eyeliner kind of person, but this comes in a lovely natural, brown shade which you can blend out for a more smokey eye finish. It also comes with a built in sharpener which is really handy.

MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss - full size £3.50
Glossybox selected six shades of this new gloss to include in this month's box and I'm so glad I received this gorgeous brown-nude colour. This colour would look gorgeous on top of a nude lipstick, to give it a more glossy finish.

Yet again, another box I am incredibly impressed with!

If you are considering signing up for this wonderful monthly subscription box, you can do so here.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Masque

My hair has been in desperate need of some TLC recently, so I decided to pick up this TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Masque. This product claims to be an "intensive rescue for unruly, frizz-prone hair"

This says to leave on the hair for only 3-5 minutes. However, I first wash my hair using my usual shampoo and conditioner, then towel dry my hair and then apply a generous amount all over the hair, using my fingers to distribute evenly and then wrap my hair up in a towel. I actually leave the mask on for 1-2 hours.

When I first tried it out and did this, I expected my hair to be a greasy, horrible mess. How wrong was I?! My hair had never felt so amazing, it felt amazingly soft and smooth, with a gorgeous shine all over. It felt as if I had just come out of the hair salon, I was so impressed. I would definitely say leave the mask on for a couple of hours, rather than a couple of minutes.

I have tried many, many hair masks and I have to say, this one is 100% my favourite out of all of them. And what's more, it only costs £5.78 from Boots for a massive 300ml tub.

Kiko Milano Glowing Potion

I'm not going to lie, I picked up this product purely based on the packaging, look how gorgeous it is!
This is the Kiko Milano Glowing Potion which was part of the Kiko Rebel Romantic Collection which was released late last summer. Unfortunately, this product is Limited Edition so I'm not completely sure if they will have any left by the time this blog post goes up, which also makes me really sad as I won't be able to re-purchase when this bottle runs out!

I like to use radiance serums as my skin is naturally quite dull-looking. I'm always a bit worried when I try out a new radiance serum that it will just make me skin look glittery, but this one doesn't at all.

This is seriously one of my favourite serums I have used. It feels really light on the skin and has only a slight shimmer to it, but somehow it manages to completely brighten the skin and gives me the most gorgeous, natural-looking glow. It looks really gorgeous on the skin when worn alone, but it also makes my foundation look incredible when worn with makeup.

Please Kiko Milano, make this product available to buy again? I'm begging you!

My Favourite Base Products

Perfecting the base of my makeup is the favourite part of my make up routine. I believe that if the base of your make up looks rubbish, the rest of your make up is not going to look its best either! I have experimented with many different products over the years, and I think I have found my favourites, so I thought I would share them with you.

First up is the Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Foundation. I am constantly trying out new foundations, I hate just sticking to one! This product is my current favourite. I have a combination skin type, I get very oily around the t-zone area, but dry in other patches. I wanted a foundation which controls and minimises the shine around the t-zone area, and this foundation does exactly that! My skin looks and feels flawless when wearing it and it says put all day. My new favourite foundation, which I will definitely be buying again.

After applying my foundation I like to use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer to hide and conceal any blemishes, redness and the dark bags under my eyes. This concealer has really good coverage, it doesn't crease and blends into the skin really easily, it has everything you want from a concealer!

Next up is theBalm Mary Lou Manizer. This is my go-to highlighter, I am completely obsessed! I like to sweep this over my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone using a small fan brush to give my skin the most gorgeous, radiant glow.

Finally is the Kiko Milano Invisible Powder which I use to set my makeup. I sweep this all over my face after applying my base products to eliminate any shine and set everything in place. It leaves my skin feeling velvety soft and it really does keep shine at bay and keeps my makeup in place all day!

I am constantly looking to try out new base products, so if anyone has any recommendations, please feel free to leave me a comment in the comments section below, thank you!
