Charlotte Tilbury Luscious Lip Slick

My wonderful dad got my this Charlotte Tilbury Luscious Lip Slick Set for Christmas. I literally squealed when I opened it, I have wanted some makeup from Charlotte Tilbury for so long and I am now a proud owner of a gorgeous lip duo!

The set my dad got me contained the lipstick in shade "Bitch Perfect" and the lipliner in shade "Pink Venus". This lipstick and lipliner combo is the perfect blossom-pink shade which suits all skin tones. It warms the complexion and has a tooth-whitening effect.

I usually tend to wear matte lipsticks as I find that they are more long-lasting and matte is the finish I prefer. This lipstick is a glossy finish, however, I love it so much, I may start buying more glossy finish lipsticks! The staying power is amazing, it stays on for hours without needing a touch-up. Both the lipstick and lipliner glide on smoothly, without tugging at the lips. I find the lipstick really hydrating and doesn't feel drying at all on my lips. The colour is beautiful, the lipstick and liner are the perfect duo, the colours are wonderful together.

And lastly, the packaging is absolutely beautiful.

I will definitely be purchasing some Charlotte Tilbury products in the future. Next I want to try the Vintage Vamp Luxury Eyeshadow Palette and the Magic Foundation!

What's your favourite Charlotte Tilbury product/s?

Clarins Cleansing Milk

Usually when I buy a cleanser, I just pick one up from the supermarket (usually the cheapest!) but a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would treat myself to a more luxurious cleanser and oh my! I'm so glad I did.

The Clarins Cleansing Milk was the first purchase I have made from Clarins. I was drawn to this cleanser at it is a "water-free cleanser". I was so impressed with the cleanser, when I went to York, I picked up a whole gift set of Clarins goodies for myself to try! It did cost me £65, but it is so worth the money and I will be blogging about the products in the set within the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!

The first cleanser I bought was the Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian. This cleanser is designed for people with a combination or oily skin type. I have combination skin and this suits my skin perfectly. This cleanser contains:
Bio-Ecolia which preserves the skin's balance.
Hydrophilic oils which cleanse the skin.
Vitamins A and E which improves skin quality.
Gentian which tones and heals the skin.
Iris and Hawthorn which decongest and normalise.

I then decided to buy the Clarins Anti-Pollution Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs. This cleanser is designed for people with a normal or dry skin type.
This cleanser contains:
Bio-Ecolia which preserves the skin's balance.
Hydrophilic Oils which cleanse the skin.
Vitamins A and E which improves skin quality.
Alpine Herbs which soften the skin.
St. John's Wort, Sweet Almonds which moisturise the skin.

I was a bit sceptical at first as I usually go for gel cleansers as I feel like they cleanse my skin the best. With the cleansers being a "milk" I thought they would be really watery and not cleanse my skin as well. However, I discovered that Clarins have their own cleansing technique to help you use and apply the cleansers in the best possible way. Here is the link to the video to show you their own technique.

The Clarins Cleansing Milk truly makes me feel like I'm having a spa-like experience whilst using it. It feels so gentle on my skin and removes my makeup really well, even stubborn eye makeup. I didn't have to rub at my skin to remove either, it literally felt like it just "melted" off. My face and neck actually feel clean and refreshed after using it, without my skin feeling tight or irritated by the cleanser. It also leaves my skin feeling really soft and supple, which is an added bonus.
What do you think of Clarins skincare products? Have you tried the Cleansing Milks?

This is the first Glossybox of 2016 and this new year has been declared the "Year of More". Glossybox this month is all about inspiring subscribers "to get more, more, more from their year ahead". I am so impressed with the products this month, 4 full-sized products and 1 luxury-sized product, and a mix of both skincare and makeup and nails!

Glossybox Eyeshadow in Glossy Mauve - full size £7.10
The first product is Glossybox's own brand of satin eyeshadow. This shade is ideal for creating a purple based smoky look. Either apply dry with the fingertips for a sheer finish or with a wet brush for a more dramatic look.

Angele Paris Red Nail Lacquer - full size £6.32
I'm not really a great fan of red nail polish, so I don't know how much use I will get out of this, but it's a really vibrant, bright red and can be worn all year round.

Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask - full size £11.36
This herbal face masks helps to care for the skin and keep it protected. It is suitable for sensitive skin and makes sure your complexion stays moisturised and nourished.

Madara Cellular Repair Serum - full size £38
This serum is part of Madara's anti-ageing range. I haven't tried this yet, but I am really excited to as it helps to plump the skin, boost hydration and make your complexion more radiant. Everything you want from a serum.

Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick - full size £11.93
This lipstick has really pigmented colour and a satin finish, enriched with coconut oil to keep the lips hydrated. It is a gorgeous coral colour, perfect for the Spring and Summer months. I will be packing this is my suitcase when I go to Skiathos again in the Summer!

My Current Favourite Lipsticks

Lipstick is by far, my most favourite part of my makeup routine. My natural lip colour is super pale and I literally look ill when I don't wear lipstick, so I never really leave the house without it on! I just love what a wide range of colours and shades are available and how different they can look. I thought I would do a post on all my favourite lipsticks at the moment, so here they are!

This lipstick is Iconic Pro Lipstick by Makeup Revolution in shade "Game of Mystery". For saying that this lipstick cost me a whopping £2.49, it is amazing! It is a gorgeous, pale nude colour with a matte finish. I like to use this sometimes on top of a darker colour to create an ombre look on the lips!

The next on my list of favourites is the NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade "Prague". I absolutely love this liquid lipstick. It is a gorgeous berry shade, which is the perfect colour for the cooler, winter months. The thing I like most about this is that when it's on your lips, you can't even tell you're wearing a lipstick. It feels like a lip stain, but still with the colour intensity of a lipstick. It also doesn't dry out the lips, which I find a lot of liquid lipsticks can do.

My all-time favourite lipstick is the MAC Lipstick in shade "Mehr". I just love the colour of this lipstick, the matte finish and how it feels on my lips. It feels very pleasant and doesn't dry out my lips. It also stays on for quite a few hours without needing a touch up.

The next on my list is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in shade "Pink in the Afternoon". I actually got this lipstick in one of my Glossyboxes and at first I was a bit unsure of the colour as it looked very pink. However, I now wear this lipstick all the time for work as it looks just like a natural pink lip colour with a glossy, but not too glossy finish. It also stays on the lips for a relatively long time as well.

Another of my favourites is the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in shade "Halcyon". I love these liquid lipsticks. You apply them like you would a lipgloss, but instead these dry to a gorgeous matte finish. These can sometimes feel drying, but the colours are so bold and they are so long-lasting, it kind of makes up for the dryness feeling.

Finally on my list of favourite lipsticks is the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in shade "Bitch Perfect". This is a lovely natural, pinky colour with a glossy finish. It stays on all day and feels gorgeous on my lips!

What are your favourite lipsticks? Let me know!

"Would You Rather?" Beauty Edition

I saw this post on Hello Teddy and I really liked the idea of it, so I decided to have a go myself!

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
As much as I love my eyeshadow and my palettes, I can't leave the house without lipstick on, so I would rather lose my palettes and eyeshadows.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I actually went for about 4 years without cutting my hair! However, I think I would much rather chop it all off as I just love the way my hair feels after having a good chop.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I think I would much rather have a coral cheek.

4.) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
What a hard question! I definitely think I would much rather buy clothes though... I couldn't justify spending £1,000 on makeup haha!

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Lipstick as eyeliner.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I've never shopped at Sephora (!) so I would have to say MAC.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I would rather use only one eyeshadow colour, I usually tend to go for quite a neutral eye look, but I love experimenting with different lip colours!

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I just love winter clothing, boots, leather, fur, layers etc, I would wear winter clothes all year round if I could.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark nails. It's very rare that I wear a bright colour on my nails.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I'd give up eye products. Like I said before, I can't live without lipstick.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Messy bun.

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I never wear lipgloss, only lipstick!

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I'd much rather sharpie them in everyday. I could never shave my eyebrows off.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I would much rather live without nail polish. Makeup is my passion and I couldn't live without it!

Post a link below in the comments if you have answered these questions! I would love to have a read.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

Shade "Patina"
I love liquid lipsticks and the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick was one I have had my eye on for quite a while now. I've heard mixed reviews about this product, so I decided to have a look for myself and see what I thought about this product. I picked this shade up from my local Marks and Spencer for £16.

I did like this lipstick as it applied really smoothly, just like a gloss, but dried to a matte finish. The colour was really bold and was full-coverage which you could easily build up. It didn't last all day, however, it did stay on for a few hours without needing a touch up.

The only issue I had with this lipstick is that it can feel very drying if you haven't properly exfoliated or moisturised your lips. It can sink into the fine lines in your lips which can give the "crusty" look, which isn't good! After a few hours it also starts to flake off and can feel quite uncomfortable.

However, I think I would still purchase another shade as I just loved the finish and how bold the colour was. As long as you properly exfoliate and moisturise beforehand, I think this product is really lovely.

Natural World Miracle Oil for Body & Face

Personally, I love body oils. I think they feel so luxurious on the skin and just leave it looking much more beautiful than a normal body moisturiser does. I took a trip to TK Maxx not long ago and picked up this Natural World Miracle Oil for Body & Face. It only cost me £4.99 and it said it was supposed to be £19.95, so I just had to get it!

I do like this body oil, however, its not my favourite. It feels really luxurious on the skin, but it takes a while for it to absorb, even if only using a small amount. I personally wouldn't use this on my face either as I do feel like it is too thick for a facial oil.

However, it does leave my skin feeling gorgeous after using it! This body oil is supposed to help with ageing skin, uneven skin tone, dehydrated skin, dry skin, stretch marks and scars. I've not been using it long enough to notice a difference in stretch marks and scars, but it certainly moisturised and nourishes the skin really well. It also says this oil can be used as an After-Sun or a bath oil, but yet again I have not tried this out yet!

What's your favourite body oil?
